<< Background >>First of all, ecological awareness and literacy, green thinking, and sustainability. Through all the visits, lectures, workshops, activities etc. we wanted the students to be much better informed about our environment and the way to protect it. All these activities were focused on sustainable clothing, km0 food, and zero waste. Secondly, support the pupils' connectedness, expertise, and autonomy and show them how cooperation with peers, despite another background, nationality, mother-tongue, a learning difficulty, etc, can lead to success.Thirdly, developing and/or improving entrepreneurial skills both in a national and international context, English skills, ICT skills, and social skills. The main activity for this was the Ecothon. Last but not least, opportunities to widen the horizons and to get to know other European nations. We carefully chose the participants for a meeting, taking into account inclusive measures. One-third of the participants were students withfewer opportunities, due to difficult social circumstances, other backgrounds, or learning difficulties<< Objectives >>The first objective was creating awareness and developing competencies in various sustainability-relevant sectors, such as clothing, food and waste and developing green sectoral skills strategies that better meet the needs of individuals. The second objective was inclusion. In a series of activities, we stimulated the students with all kinds of backgrounds, interests, capacities, differences, etc, to work together, showing them that you can only reach proper results through collaboration and cooperation. << Implementation >>First of all, ecological awareness and literacy were developed using visits, lectures, shared information, workshops, but of course also through the specially designed activities, such as the Ecothon, the concept store, thrifting, the bazar, thekm0 food products and menus, the animation videos, and our end product, viz., the digital escape rooms. We gave pupils the opportunities to widen their horizons and to get to know other European nations through mutual online contact with partner school pupils and by organising five meetings in each of the partner schools, where the students werehoused in guest families, so that they learned to know another culture, with its own habits and customs. Through one of our main activities, viz. the Ecothon, students learned by experience that you can reach better results by cooperation and collaboration. In mixed groups, with different nationalities, intellectual capacities, other interests etc, they worked together well to reach a good result at the end of the two-day project work. The result of their work was presented to a mixed audience. << Results >>For sustainability in clothing. A Christmas market in which a limited number of self-made products were sold. To create these, tutorials were made in each partner school. Creation of a concept store and bazaar in which only second-hand clothing was sold. The process involved collecting, registration, cleaning, renovating, selling, packaging and accountancy,Thrifting: we made students aware that it is okay to buy and wear second-hand clothing For sustainability in food and zero waste:Creation of a green garden in each partner school. After a season of growing common and diverse plants, the results and experiences were shared. The participants found out how they can grow certain vegetables in an ecological way. The final result was that the students had common knowledge as to where and when the vegetables are best grown and harvested. Creation of several km0 food menus and km0 products like herb oils, jams, soaps, creams, etc. Creation of animation videosA common European campaign to prevent waste in schools and at homeThe final result was several digital escaperooms that had to do with our main topic, and a tutorial by means of an extensive PowerPoint presentation.
