<< Background >>he Sustainable Solutions Project (S&S) was created to address the urgent need for stronger climate change education and the lack of resources available in schools. Across Europe, many students and teachers report limited understanding of climate change, while digital skills remain uneven despite being essential for the future workforce. Our consortium of seven partners, including schools, NGOs, and SMEs, came together to combine expertise in climate education and digital learning. Building on previous Erasmus+ experiences, the project focused on empowering teachers, students, and stakeholders with the digital competences needed to design, test, and communicate sustainable solutions. By integrating data analysis, digital literacy, and creative problem-solving into climate education, S&S aimed to close gaps in school curricula, support teachers with innovative resources, and inspire students to take action. The project also aligned with the European Green Deal, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement, ensuring that local activities contributed to global priorities.<< Objectives >>The Sustainable Solutions Project (S&S) aimed to increase awareness of climate change and show how digital skills can help address it. Our objectives were to equip teachers, students, and stakeholders with the competences needed to collect and analyze data, design sustainable solutions, and communicate them effectively. We wanted to empower schools and communities to take an active role in the fight against climate change and to build a network of engaged individuals dedicated to sustainability.To achieve this, the project delivered three intellectual outputs: the Sustainability Problem-Solving Toolkit to guide the design and implementation of solutions, the Eco-Tech Skills Curriculum to strengthen digital and technical competences, and EcoNet, an online platform connecting teachers, students, and partners. Together, these results increased the number of people with the skills and confidence to address environmental issues, supported schools in implementing real solutions, and created opportunities for sharing practices across Europe. By aligning with EU priorities such as the Green Deal, digital skills development, and sustainability education, S&S contributed to building a more climate-aware and future-ready generation.<< Implementation >>The project was implemented through a series of structured activities that combined management, development, training, piloting, and dissemination. It began with the Kick-off Meeting in Latvia, where partners aligned objectives and responsibilities. Under WP2, we developed and piloted the Sustainability Problem-Solving Toolkit, supported by an online workshop on digital tools and climate change and local piloting events with teachers and students. WP3 focused on the Eco-Tech Skills Curriculum, tested through an LTT training in Greece, surveys, and classroom piloting to refine modules. WP4 produced EcoNet, a collaborative platform enriched with partner-created resources such as quizzes, videos, challenges, and storytelling, tested through the 3rd online workshop and local piloting. Dissemination activities included 7 multiplier events across all partner countries, extensive use of social media, newsletters, local seminars, and press articles, reaching thousands of stakeholders. Regular online partner meetings, mid-term and final meetings, and continuous quality monitoring ensured smooth coordination, budget control, and progress tracking. Three key resources were developed:IO1 Sustainability Problem-Solving Toolkit: a practical guide with methods for analysing environmental challenges, planning solutions, and applying digital tools for data collection, monitoring, and communication.IO2 Eco-Tech Skills Curriculum: a comprehensive eight-module curriculum covering climate awareness, digital mapping, sustainable design, data visualisation, and advocacy. Piloting confirmed its adaptability across classrooms and contexts.IO3 EcoNet Platform: an interactive online environment offering quizzes, animations, challenges, and project templates, allowing teachers and students to exchange ideas and collaborate on sustainability actions.Alongside these outputs, the project produced three international online workshops, a training and piloting event in Greece, and 7 multiplier events across partner countries.
