<< Background >>The Erasmus+ partnership project 'Sustinable food for green minds' was planned and implemented in line with the horizontal priorities of the Erasmus+ programme. In this project we aimed to reduce the negative impact of human activities on the environment by educating about the benefits of sustainable food and climate care, teaching and promoting approaches to food consumption that are environmentally friendly, support healthy lifestyles and reinforce a responsible mindset in the production, distribution and consumption of food. The project responded to the need to improve the competences of educators and other adult education professionals to teach about sustainable food, healthy lifestyles and food culture in the context of environmental and climate change. The project responded to the need to integrate stakeholders in activities and support responsible and sustainable food production and preparation and consumption. The partners integrated green practices into the project through an environmentally friendly approach when designing activities that will encourage reflection on local activities and alternative, greener approaches.<< Objectives >>We desired to achieve the following objectives:* to promote collaboration, quality, inclusion and equality, excellence, creativity and innovation at organisational level in the field of education and training; * exchange of good practices between different adult education institutions and the creation of an e-book for teaching and learning; * improving the competences and knowledge of adult educators; * promote non-formal and informal learning, involving adults of different ages. The partners intended to increase transnational activity, to share ideas on food culture, practices and methods based on sustainable production and consumption. The partners aimed to strengthen intercultural dialogue, involving participants with different cultural and social backgrounds in the project. The main target group in this project was staff and teachers (more than 20 participants). Adult learners also participated in local and dissemination activities (over 300), including elderly people and participants from disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.<< Implementation >>The following partnership activities were implemented: -four transnational meetings to exchange good practices; -local meetings, workshops and activities with local partners; -two transnational training courses for staff;-development of educational material for an e-book;-continuous monitoring and evaluation of activities;-dissemination of project results and promotional activities aimed at all involved in the project, associated partners, as well as other stakeholders and the wider public. The partners focused strongly on involving senior citizens in project activities on the one hand and learned how to attract young people to agriculture on the other. Working with cooking and healthy ingredients from their own vegetable gardens and cooking methods on hightech kitchens supported the development of new competences for educators, who then applied these to their work with adults. All workshops and training supported intercultural and intergenerational education, as the partners involved people of different cultural and social backgrounds and ages in the project.<< Results >>Tangible results:- E-book containing educational material on sustainable food;- Videos, presentations, infographics, and photo materials on the training courses;- Promotional materials such as project logo, flyer, poster, press release, social media information, website https://greenmindsproject.eu/ and Facebook profile.Intangible results:- Educators gained new knowledge and skills in the field of adult education,- Application of new methods and approaches in all activities,- Strengthened self-learning competences,- Ability to create an inclusive and relaxed learning environment for adults, especially in groups of older and other vulnerable people, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere,- Strengthening the intercultural competences of educators, staff and learners,- Acquisition of new ICT skills in adult education,- Development of communication, language, mathematical and other skills related to the project topic,- Exchange of experience between adult educators at European level,- Networking of partners and stakeholders involved at local, national and European level.
