"<< Background >>The ""Convert Your Future"" project aimed to provide qualitative educational methodologies, approaches and resources to adult educators in order to improve the teaching and learning process of adult learners, especially the ones with fewer opportunities, fostering inclusion and development of 21st century skills needed to (re)adapt and (re)integrate into the fastchanging labor market. Through our project we intended to tackle an emergent issue mostly caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions which caused massive unemployment and change in the dynamic of the requested professions in the labour market. The identified needs driving this initiative encompass high unemployment rates due to skill mismatches, a lack of efficient educational resources for adult learners, and insufficient collaboration between economic stakeholders and adult education centres. The project focused particularly on the development of transferable skills, since they are increasingly important in today's labor market, where employees are expected to be versatile and able to adapt to different situations. Additionally, transferable skills are not just beneficial for getting a job; they are also critical for career development. << Objectives >>The current fast changing labour market requires actions to support professional reconversion and acquisition of new skills and competences, in order for the low-skilled adults to be able to access current demanded positions. The ""Convert Your Future"" project intends to come with a response for the needs encountered and to provide the necessary tools and skills to adult educators (especially the ones working with disadvantaged groups), so they can retrain and upskill their adult learners, helping them to access the current labour market.Together with the latter, the specific fulfilled objectives of the project were:- To create educational resources in order to support adult educators and adult educational centers in their work of training, guiding and counselling adult learners in employment matters.- To equip adult educators with the needed knowledge regarding the current changes of the labour market and the competences and tools to help adult learners to increase their employability.- To upskill adult learners (especially low-skilled, NEETs, with difficulties to integrate or reintegrate in the labour market), in order to foster their professional reconversion and insertion in the labour market.<< Implementation >>The ""Convert Your Future"" project implemented a comprehensive set of activities aimed at addressing the needs of its target groups. By involving them in the creation of the main results, the project not only provided access to innovative educational tools to tackle the difficulty of creating hybrid educational activities, but also enabled adult educators with tools, knowledge and skills to further create alternative solutions. The core activities included:- Designing and developing tools: after conducting a needs analysis, the partners collaboratively designed and developed an online course on how to develop skills for professional conversion, as well as a hands-on learning activities booklet.- Testing and improving: each tool was thoroughly tested with target groups, to ensure usability and effectiveness. Feedback was used to improve these tools.- Quality control and managemnent: regular monitoring and evaluation were conducted to mantain high standards and ensure the project's objectives were met.- Sharing, promotion and exploitation: the results were widely shared through several dissemination tools, including online platforms, social media and events, to ensuring sustainability and extended impact.<< Results >>The ""Convert Your Future"" project delivered two key outputs, serving as a basis for educators to provide valuable data to their learners, in order for them to have an overall understanding of what they need to do in order to improve their possibilities of employability and professional reconversion:- Online course “Skills for professional conversion” directed to adult educators, containing 9 modules targetting the transferable skills needed for the profesional conversion. The main purpose was to provide educators with the needed knowledge on the changes in the labour market and the transversal skills required, as well as methods and tips on how to train those skills to low-skilled adults.- Hands-on learning activities booklet, containing a set of activities dedicated to target each transversal skill, together with a training plan and accompanied by hands-on learning materials. The main purpose of these activities is to be engaging, attractive & customised in such a way to be able to simplify the work of adult educators and to reach their learners through simple and practical activities which will lead to the development of transversal skills."
