Building on test-proofed innovative Youth policies from certain Member States (France, Germany, etc), this project aims to deploy work-based learning experience consisting in inclusive full time volunteering of general interest (civic service). It aims to enhance vocational education and training (VET) opportunities for young people in the Western Balkans by combining mobility, hands-on learning, green and digital tools to boost their employability in key sectors like culture, heritage, and tourism. It builds on the success of civic service-based mobility programs and adapts this model to the VET sector, offering young people real-life work experience, practical training, and mobility to develop both technical and soft skills that match labor market needs.Implemented in France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia, and Montenegro, the project fosters cross-border collaboration and strengthens regional ties. It brings innovative tools such as a mobile museum to provide cultural education, a language-learning platform tailored to the tourism industry, and a digital application for upskilling professionals, making sure participants gain valuable, job-ready skills. By offering structured mobility experiences, young people will not only apply their knowledge in real-world settings but also develop intercultural competencies, adaptability, and confidence to navigate an evolving job market.Aligned with Erasmus+ priorities, the project strengthens VET providers, creates stronger links between training institutions and labor markets, and promotes inclusion from disadvantaged backgrounds. It also embraces sustainability, integrating environmental awareness and digital approaches. With a clear strategy for monitoring, evaluation, and dissemination, the project aims to build a long-lasting, scalable model that opens up new opportunities for young people, strengthens regional workforce development, and contributes to the long-term economic growth of the Western Balkans.
