Economic Challenges, Opportunities, and the Role of Artificial Intelligence: Driving Education through Innovative and Inclusive Approaches

<< Objectives >>ECO-IDEA general objective aligns with our Erasmus horizontal priority by boosting students’ understanding of future economic challenges and AI’s role in various sectors. It aims at equipping students with skills to thrive in the digital era by increasing awareness of AI’s impact on the labor market, updating essential skills, using innovative methods (debates, hackathons, eTwinning), enhancing inclusion, and fostering cooperation between schools and local businesses, and with EU partners.<< Implementation >>ECO-IDEA key activities include Project Management, ensuring smooth execution; the eTwinning activity, when students work online on AI topics; the Debates and Economics Days focus on AI’s economic impact, with an event in Italy; the finalization of eTwinning work in Spain using digital tools; Hackathon that challenges students to create AI solutions, culminating in an award ceremony in Czechia and Dissemination and Multiplier Events to promote the project’s results through media and events.<< Results >>The project will yield outputs such as an eTwinning project, International Debate Day, a two-day Economics event, a summary video, a debate teaching toolkit, a blended hackathon, six solutions to AI problems, 3 mobilities. Outcomes include increased AI awareness, improved students digital and practical skills, bridged skills mismatch in labour market, enhanced inclusive teaching, strengthened EU identity, better collaboration with businesses and stakeholders and fostered internationalisation.
