Transform Me: Developing Social Inclusion of Adults As Transformational Learners

<< Background >>We applied for this project to share good practices and improve the social participation of adults as transformational learners by ensuring that transformational learning practices and experiences were understood by educators, administrators and learners of private/public institutions related to partnering country adult learning. We also needed to colloborate with European countries on this specific topic.Adult learning is lifelong and supported by a variety of learning methods. Adult learning has become increasingly important around the world, with governments allocating more funding. Many adult educational institutions aim to ensure that adults learn effectively through current and improved teaching methods. The transformational form of learning, in which adults learn to question their own assumptions, beliefs, feelings and perspectives for personal and intellectual development and maturation, is also an issue that should be emphasized in adult educational institutions. << Objectives >>By implementing this project, we wanted to provide adult learners in adult educational institutions and organizations, adult educators, adult educational institution administrators and adult NGO, SME staff and managers, adult institution volunteers to understand the importance of transformational learning, to develop their capacity to cooperate with other adult educational institutions in Europe, and to improve the social participation of adults in society. We wanted to achieve diversifying the learning-teaching methods of adult learning organizations around Europe; focusing on a common learning experience and the awareness of intercultural tolerance, inferences from each other's experience, critical reflection, changing critical thinking and meaning schemes, and these issues would contribute to common value and citizen participation. << Implementation >>We provided all participants, partnering organisations, local and international shareholders getting knowledge about the adult learning theories, models and practices.All partners presented the current situation in their countries.We created the framework of transformational learning practices.All partnering organizations created experience centered sessions for adult learners, educators and administrators.We shared good practices , cooperation on a socially inclusive and community issues.We raised the educational capacities of adult learning organisations.We created a brochure including information about the project and Transformative Learning.There were realized three meetings in person: First in Izmir/Turkiye, second in Italy and third in Slovakia.During all meetings in person two expert academicians instructed adult education and Transformational Learning, Social Inclusion.We studied the Transformational Learning of adults ,did interview with adult learners, wrote an academic article after the research results.We realized 13 online colloborative consulting meetings.We created the project magazine.We created the social media accounts and the web site.We realized cultural activities.<< Results >>The concrete output of our project was a brochure in English, Italian,Slovak,Turkish and Slovenian languages, containing information about the partnership, adult learning theories and Transformational Learning.The second output was the magazine in five languages (English,Italian,Slovak,Slovenian,Turkish) that contained activities during three mobilities (Turkiye,Italy,Slovakia), good practices done and developed Transformational Learning for social inclusion implemented by partners, the academic research carried out and written collaboratively by partners. The brochure and magazine were printed out according to needed copies by partners for distribution at local. Electronic versions (PDFs) of them were also published on project website. As well as partners established a network each other , they showed the similarities of Tranformational Learning among different cultures'people. Adult educators obtained methods for better teaching experiences .Adult learners observed others' assumptions and learning experiences and shared best practices with people at local and international level. The other output was the publication of mobility activities and interview with adult participants on Slovenian TV's internet website.
